Part-Time

This week i started my first part-time job, since i've never worked part-time, i feel very nervous but still excited. I am working at MacDonald right now from monday, and today i don't have to go there.

The last three day's working experience was very challenging. The first day I learned how to fry the fries with the frying machine, and how to put in the fries in to the package; also i learned how to fill in different beverages in different cups of kinds of sizes and appeareance, and last two days i learned how to operate the counter machine and receive customers' order.

I felt extremely nervous when i have to receive the order from the customer, because the counter machine. I have to touch the right button on the monitor as quickily as possible, and then, i have to make sure the order i am entering the menu is correct. Of course, I made lots mistakes. Sometimes i forgot to take out the change to the customer and the drawer is closed, and the manager have to open it for me, which is very embarrassing. And i often forget to ask the order is eat-in or to-go. I made the same mistakes many times. And sometimes i stammered or speaked too fast, because i am so nervous.

Aside from many trivial details i have to take care of in mind, the job itself is really tiring. Each shift i have to stand 4 hours without rest, so my feet and my legs are thus aching severely at night. Although it is very challenging and comparably low-pay than my previous tutoring job, i hope i can stick it out and learn how to get things done efficiently and how to deal with people. And i guess i would have a great time no matter what, the crew there are very energetic and some of the trainer are very kind and easy-going. I really learned a lot from last three days training.
